COVID VACCINATION UPDATE
Use this service to book a coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccination or manage your appointments.
You can only use this service if any of the following apply:
The following services are available and details may be obtained from your doctor or from reception:
All patients are encouraged to have a basic health check and consultation within a month of registration. Please make an appointment with the nurse.
These are conducted by the nurse. Anyone from 16 to 75 years of age may attend at 3-yearly intervals for a routine check and appropriate advice. All patients over 75 years of age are eligible for an annual health check.
These may be done by the nurse or your own doctor.
These are done by all the doctors who share the care with the midwife, and with the local hospital maternity departments. The midwife holds classes for mothers and their partners to attend in the final weeks of their pregnancy.
Postnatal care will be carried out by the midwife for a minimum of ten days.
Thereafter the health visitor will provide home visiting and is available for continuing advice and support at the child health clinic. She arranges small groups of new mums for mutual support and also clinics for helping with babies’ sleep problems. The health visitor can be contacted during office hours on 01732 882754.
The health visitors and doctors offer clinics to monitor children’s progress and to carry out the routine immunisations which are of such importance. Parents are reminded about these by post, as well as personally.
All doctors offer contraceptive advice in routine surgeries.
These are carried out regularly by doctors & nurses for diabetic patients.
The nurse in charge of diabetic care is also available for advice by appointment.
These are carried out by the appropriate nurse by appointment
These are carried out by the nurse in charge of asthma care, to achieve optimum treatment for everyone with asthma.
These are run for those going abroad to ensure that they receive all recommended preventative advice and inoculations. You should contact us at least two months before travelling
This is run by a doctor to control the regime of those patients on Warfarin.
Please note that we have appointments available at the surgery Monday, Wednesday and Friday between 8am and 12am and Tuesdays and Thursdays 8am-10am. This extended service means that patients are no longer allowed to use the Sevenoaks hospital service.
Please wait 5 days from the date of the test before calling for test results and ring after 2pm.
The practice has a strict policy regarding confidentiality and data protection. We will only release test results to the person to whom they relate unless that person has given prior permission for the release of this data or they are not capable of understanding the results.
Some of our work is not included in the Health Service. This includes medical examinations for health insurance, HGV licences, sports, work and school; private certificates; travel drugs and inoculations. Fees for all these are charged in line with those suggested by the British Medical Association.
The community ENT service for the NHS was started by Dr Unwin 17 years ago and now has grown into a team of several doctors and support staff. The service accepts GP referrals from the West Kent CCG, Dartford and Gravesham CCG, Medway CCG and Swale CCG. The doctors will see all ear, nose and throat conditions with the exception of children under 2 years and patients with a suspected cancer diagnosis.
The service also works in close collaboration with the Head and Neck departments of both Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS trust and Medway NHS Foundation trust to reduce their outpatient waiting times. There is an allied aural care (ear microsuction) clinic, for all CCG patients and a service for dispensing new hearing aids for West Kent patients. The service works closely with HI Kent, which run clinics from several sites including the Borough Green Medical Practice, Rochester Healthy Living Centre and Sittingbourne Memorial Hospital.
The service has been well received by both local doctors and patients alike, for many years now.
For ENT queries, please contact us on 01732 887210. The telephone line is open from 10am - 3:30pm Monday to Friday or email us on firstname.lastname@example.org.
