Due to high demand Dispensary are asking for a minimum of 72 hours to process prescriptions. Following CCG guidance we are not able to issue more than one month's worth of medication at this time.
Dispensary is now open from 9am-1pm and 2pm-6pm. You may have to queue as we are only allowing one person at a time to enter the building. As the notices will inform you please stand well away from the top step in order to allow the person before you to exit.
Following an upgrade to a new computer system the previous online ordering service (patient services) is no longer available. Emails have been sent to all patients, with valid individual email addresses, that were previously registered for online services giving them the option to sign up with a new approved provider.
Please note that in order to avoid errors we not accept requests for prescriptions over the telephone. Please order online or in person.
We seem to be receiving an increasing number of telephone calls enquiring whether prescriptions are ready for collection. This is taking up valuable time and slowing down the process of dispensing. Please allow 72 hours to prepare your prescription (remember we are closed sat and sun). Prescriptions received after Noon will be ready 72 hours from the following day. This will avoid unnecessary telephone calls to the dispensary. Thank you.
If you are ordering an item that is not on your repeat form you may add it in the message box at the bottom of the repeat request form. If you are ordering online drop down to the message box. In both circumstances your request will be sent to the doctor. Please note that ordering items not on repeat will take longer than 72 hours to be processed. This could mean your prescription will take an additional 24 hours.
Prescriptions can be dispensed to those patients on our dispensing list. Patients who live more than a mile from a chemist and are also south of the M20 may apply to be on this list.
These patients may also take their prescriptions to an outside chemist if they wish. Please ask at the dispensary if you would like to be on the surgery dispensing list.
You may choose to have your prescription sent to Lloyds the chemist in Borough Green or the chemist in Vigo village if you wish, but please allow 4 days for this service.
For those on our dispensing list the dispensed prescription may be collected at the surgery, or there is a delivery of medicines to the Post Office in Plaxtol or the Newsagents in Wrotham three times a week for patients aged over 60 who are exempt from prescription charges.
